Oceania, islands in the Coral Sea, territory of Australia, administered from Canberra by the Department of Regional Australia and northeast of Australia. Coral Sea Islands Territory includes a group of small and mostly uninhabited islands and reefs in the Coral Sea. Scattered over a sea area of about 780,000 sq km and only inhabited island is Willis Island, staff of three or four persons looking after the meteorological station on Willis Island.
